Junior Showmanship
The Penn Ridge Kennel Club supports AKC Junior Showmanship activities as a way to encourage young people in our sport, realizing that today’s Juniors will go on to become tomorrow’s successful breeders, exhibitors, judges and club members who will take over as guardians of the AKC purebred dogs that we love.
Handlers of Tomorrow
In addition to supporting our Junior Showmanship Classes with great prizes, including all day passes to HERSHEYPAK, Savings Bonds, Vendor Bucks and sponsor prizes, Penn Ridge Kennel Club is also proud to present a Juniors Clinic where professional handlers donate their time and expertise to help our Juniors better their handling skills.
The Penn Ridge Kennel Club and our sponsor, Royal Canin, also provide a raffle with great prizes, which have included flat screen TV's Hersheypark tickets, vendor bucks and more, as well as refreshments provided for the participants of the clinic.
The 2011 Juniors clinic will be held on Friday, August 12th for those entered in Junior Showmanship classes. There is no fee to attend the seminar, which will include refreshments. Registration is Friday, August 12, at the officials' table at the show.
