Student Art Contest
In 2005 the Penn Ridge Kennel Club instituted our Student Art Contest with the cooperation of one local elementary school .
The contest was designed to increase awareness among young people of the responsibilities associated with dog ownership as well as to recognize the artistic ability of youngsters in our area.
At our shows in August, all of the artwork submitted in 2005 was displayed on Saturday afternoon. The response to the students' work was wonderful and the artwork display will be part of our shows each year.
In 2007 the contest was expanded to all students residing in the Penn Ridge School District.
